1.500W single-mode quasi-continuous green fiber laser
As early as the end of 2015, IPG, the world leader in the fiber laser industry, released a single-mode quasi-continuous green fiber laser with an output power of up to 500W. IPG Photonics won the annual Prism Awards awarded by the Society for International Optical Engineering (SPIE) that year for this laser. This is a 500 W quasi-continuous green light single-mode fiber laser that brings the advantages of fiber laser technology to the visible spectrum for the first time, with high output power, excellent electro-optical conversion efficiency and low cost. The product offers industrial-grade reliability, excellent output beam quality, and fiber optic delivery flexibility for industrial precision laser applications ranging from brazing to solar cell chip and panel manufacturing.
Less than 7 years later, Shenzhen Gongda Laser Co., Ltd. took the lead in breaking the foreign monopoly and launched the same 500W single-mode quasi-continuous green fiber laser in China: GNPL-500-50, filling the domestic gap of this type of product and providing We provide high-end and high-quality domestic fiber lasers for applications such as solar panel manufacturing in new energy, cutting and welding of highly reflective materials, laser doping of semiconductor materials in the photovoltaic field, and laser annealing.
2. QCW500W green fiber laser vs.QCW450/4500 infrared fiber laser
The index characteristics of the five-hundred-watt single-mode quasi-continuous green fiber laser are quite different from the traditional mid-infrared quasi-continuous fiber laser: one quasi-continuous is not the other quasi-continuous. In addition to different wavelengths, the two quasi-continuous lasers produce The mechanism of quasi-continuous laser is also completely different, so there are significant differences in pulse energy, repetition frequency and pulse width.
Table 2 lists the main parameters of two quasi-continuous fiber lasers with different wavelengths. The biggest difference is in the pulse width and modulation frequency of the two. The pulse width of the QCW500W green fiber laser is around 1ns, which is sub-nanosecond level, and the frequency is as high as 50 mHz. It is a narrow pulse width, high repetition frequency fiber laser; while the pulse width of the QCW 450/4500 infrared fiber laser is 50us~50ms , the highest frequency is only 50kHz. Therefore, it can be seen that although both can be called quasi-continuous (the duty cycle of the laser pulse is relatively large), the ways to achieve large duty cycle pulse output are different: the former is a combination of narrow pulse width and high repetition frequency, while the latter is a combination of wide pulse width and high repetition frequency. Pulse width plus low repetition frequency, different combinations of pulse width and repetition frequency lead to great differences in the final output pulse energy. Because the single pulse energy of the laser is equal to the average power of the laser divided by the pulse frequency, although green QCW up to tens of MHz has the same average power of 500W as infrared QCW, the single pulse energy is only tens of microjoules, which is far lower Infrared QCW has a single pulse energy of tens of joules, so it is not suitable for welding thicker metal materials. However, the short wavelength, high peak value, and single-mode characteristics of green light QCW give it incomparable advantages over infrared in the fine processing of thin films and wafer materials and the cutting and welding of thin copper. When the material to be processed is sensitive to thermal effects and has relatively high requirements for processing accuracy (i.e., the size of the light spot acting on the material) and processing efficiency, and the material itself is relatively thin and does not require high single pulse energy, short wavelength, green quasi-continuous lasers with narrow pulse width and high repetition frequency characteristics are the best choice.
Shenzhen Gongda Laser Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the R&D, production and sales of "advanced short-wavelength fiber lasers" and "laser precision processing solutions". It is a company focusing on the R&D, production of medium- and high-power short-wavelength (green and ultraviolet) fiber lasers. and Application Solutions Laser Inc. The current main products are 50-500W high-power single-mode green fiber lasers and 100-1000W MOPA single-mode pulse fiber lasers.
OUHK Laser has been focusing on the research and development of high-power short-wavelength fiber lasers, and has taken the lead in launching a 500W single-mode green fiber laser: GCL-500, that can be used for highly reflective metal 3D printing and precision welding. Now it has launched a 500W single-mode quasi-continuous green fiber laser that can be used in solar panel manufacturing and semiconductor chip processing in new energy: GNPL-500-50. In addition, we also have 30-100W sub-nanosecond green fiber lasers and picosecond green fiber lasers used for laser grooving and laser doping in the photovoltaic field. OULD Laser has a complete R&D platform and product series for green fiber lasers, as well as a professional high-power green light process laboratory. We always hold an open attitude and are willing to work with everyone to develop the application of high-power green fiber lasers. .
